Where to in Nessebar?

Old Town Beach

A small but picturesque beach located in the historic part of Nessebar. Suitable for those looking for a more relaxed atmosphere and wanting to combine sunbathing with sightseeing.

South Beach

It is located in the new part of Nessebar, near Sunny Beach. The beach is wide, with fine golden sand and crystal clear water. Part of the beach is occupied by paid umbrellas and sun loungers, but there are also free areas for visitors.

The symbol of the city of Nessebar – the Windmill

The Windmill is emblematic of the town of Nessebar and is a kind of symbol of the town. It is located on the bridge between the Old and New Towns. There are benches built around the authentic windmill, which remains from the Turkish era, and the view of the sea adds even greater remarkable beauty. 

Ancient amphitheater

The ancient amphitheater in Nessebar is located just 2km from the city center, in close proximity to the beautiful harbor. During the summer, various concerts and other events are organized in the ancient amphitheater of Old Nessebar.  

Saint Sophia Basilica

The Basilica named "St. Sophia" is located on the Southern Black Sea coast, in the center of Nessebar. It is an Orthodox church and is known as the Old Metropolis. It is also one of the landmarks of the Architectural and Historical Reserve on the territory of the city and is part of the 100 national tourist sites in Bulgaria.

Church of Saint John Aliturgetos

The church of St. John Aliturgetos was built in the 14th century. Although not well preserved, having suffered from the earthquake of 1913, it marks the peak of the construction of religious buildings in the Middle Ages. According to legend, the church was never consecrated, as one of the workers died during the construction.

The Architectural and Historical Reserve

The reserve is part of the UNESCO World Heritage List. It is located in the Old Town of Nessebar and is a peninsula about 850 m long and 350 m wide. Its separate halls trace the development of the city from a port during the Thracian period to its present form.

The Fisherman Statue

The new symbol of Nessebar - the "Statue of the Fisherman" is located on the southern side of the isthmus, installed in 2006. It is the work of sculptor Stavri Kalinov, and according to him, the sculpture represents "the new Noah in search of the promised land and perhaps the dove found salvation on this blessed Nessebar shore."

Aqua Paradise

Aqua Paradise is the largest and most attractive water park in Bulgaria, located just 3.5 km from the town of Nessebar. Promising unforgettable experiences, Aqua Paradise features a huge amusement park, small and large slides, and tropical gardens. 

St. Nicholas Marine Aquarium

The wonderful and remarkable attraction for young and old – Sea Aquarium "St. Nicholas", has a rich and diverse exhibition of Black Sea, Mediterranean fish and other marine inhabitants. Without entering the sea, here you can dive into its depths and feel the magic of the wonderful underwater world with your own eyes. The aquarium is one of a kind and has already been visited by hundreds of Bulgarians and foreign guests.

Cinema Museum

The city also has several museums that welcome visitors all year round. Particularly interesting and attractive is the Museum of Cinema. It is unique in its kind and its exposition has a wide variety of props, sets that were used in various films. They were donated by famous studios or cinema lovers. Every year this incredible museum is one of the main attractions of Nessebar.

Ice cream parlor "CLIO"

You will find a lot of ice cream, a lot of emotions and happy moments in the ice cream kingdom of "Clio". Established in 1998, the salon offers more than 40 types of homemade ice cream, various ice cream masterpieces - sundaes, cakes, fruit salads, coffees and many types of tea, which you can enjoy on a spacious terrace overlooking the breathtaking sea. They also offer great, very tasty ice creams on a stick, which you can eat while walking through the streets of the Old Town.

Aviation Monument

An interesting and new landmark is the Aviation Monument in Nessebar, representing a MiG-21 aircraft that protected the country's security in the past. It was opened on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Bulgarian Air Force and was created as a sign of honor and respect for the pilots who are associated with the municipality of Nessebar and on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Bulgarian Aviation and Air Force.

The port of Nessebar

The port of Nessebar is a key part of the city's infrastructure, combining fishing, tourist and yachting facilities. It supports the local fishing community and contributes to the development of tourism, offering a variety of services and attractions for visitors to the city.
